and complete the worksheet as you go. You can stop the video if you want to write down answers.
TURN IT IN ON TUESDAY.
Wednesday- Here is the handout you will get in class.
The
Geologic Time Scale Model
- you may work with a partner or a group of three. Please make sure all students are included.
- Measure a 5 meter length of tape. Put your names on the back side of the tape. The tape will not leave class. At the end of class it should go in the blue bucket labeled with your class number on it.
- Using the GEOLOGIC TIME SCALE handout, and the scale 1 mm = 1 million years ago, measure and label ( neatly in Black marker) the ERAs and PERIODS
- Next with a colored pencil shade in the three eras. Let yellow be the Paleozoic Era, let pink be the Mesozoic, let light blue be the Cenozoic and color the Pre-Cambrian Era orange.
- Next go onto the websites provided (or google your own) and find a life form from that PERIOD ( if life existed). Draw, neatly color, cut out, and attach this picture to your model time scale.
Your job-
Grading

All Periods have at LEAST one life form. More life forms will
give you more points. These should be accurate to the time, and
drawn/colored/affixed neatly. |
Up to 40 points. |
